Keith Cooper is a saxophonist (flute, clarinet, guitar and piano also) out of Miami, Florida. He earned a degree in Music Education at the University of Miami where he studied under David Pope. He developed his style and sound at a gospel church in New York where he grew up and got his early musical training. Keith is Music Director at Christopher Columbus High School where he runs the jazz band, rock ensemble, and percussion courses. He also works at Bay 8 Studios in Miami as a producer, writer, arranger, and studio musician. Keith arranges music for saxophone quartets, Jazz Bands, and many different performing groups. He is presently a member of a jazz/funk/hip-hop group called Artofficial. They have released multiple albums, are signed with Sony Publishing, released two albums in Japan through Tower Records, toured extensively around the world, are winners of the Florida Grammy showcase, and have been featured in numerous documentaries and albums. Keith was also a member of the punk/ska band, The Blinking Underdogs, which released several albums, toured the US, and played the Vans Warped Tour. As a musician he has played, shared the stage, and arranged music with Galactic, The Allman Brothers, Black Violin, Rakim, AfroJack, Wu Tang Clan, Dr. Dog, Melky Jean, The Supervillains, Brendan O'Hara, and countless groups through the years. He has recorded on tracks for Gym Class Heroes, Rick Ross, Meek Hill, Nas, John Legend, Lupe Fiasco, and many others.
