MARLON BOONE
Marlon has perfected talent that encompasses the alto, tenor, and soprano saxophone. Though he is a current resident of Tampa, Florida, Marlon began his musical journey as a saxophonist at age ten in his hometown of Pahokee, Florida. As a graduate of Pahokee High School and Bethune-Cookman University, Marlon's musical talent was groomed for success over the years. While studying music at Bethune-Cookman, Marlon was featured performer in the Marching Wildcat Band. Since then, Marlon has continued to study music, perfecting and polishing his technical skills and showmanship in a broad range of genres in music. Over the last eleven years, Marlon Boone the artist, has traveled extensively making concert and guest appearances with his R&B band "City Groove". Marlon's powerful stage presence and passion for performing has become the hallmark for his solo shows. His aim and commitment is to amaze, woo, and satisfy his audience. Marlon has performed on stage with, or opened for music greats such as Pieces Of A Dream, saxophonist Kim Waters, The Desert Rain Band, gospel artist Donald Lawrence, Tye Tribbett, smooth jazz trumpeter Joey Summerville, keyboardist Nathan Mitchell, guitarist J.J. Sansavrio, Blake Aaron, and a host of other talented musicians. Reviews have compared his talent to the late Grover Washington, Jr., Kirk Wahlum, Richard Elliot, and Warren Hill. Marlon's keen and unique ear for music coupled with soulful smooth improvisation consistently electrifies crowds, and listeners are left with a soulful musical experience. Marlon Boone is a signed recording artist with Nevaeh Entertainment and is currently recording his first solo album titled "Marlon Boone Unleashed". Marlon continues to perform and tour locally throughout the southeast region while preparing to embark on his first world tour.
